Bok Tower

We visited the most peaceful & enriching place in Florida.

Bok Tower sits on the highest point in Florida. We sat & listened to the Carillon bells. Edward W. Bok born in the Netherlands in 1863 created a sanctuary for birds & people in Florida because he was awed by the beauty of Iron Mountain. He acquired a large tract of sandy soil covered with pines & palmettos & asked Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. to transform the area into a sanctuary that would touch the soul with its beauty & quiet.

There were 2 door prizes & the two winners were Nancy & yes...Nancy... Yes thats right 2 Nancy's. The prizes were a redhat scarf, a redhat towel & a redhat photo album.

Isolde won the 50/50 this month.
