April's Red Hat luncheon was held on the 18th at the Back Porch in Lake Alfred. Rosie Fyffe and JoAnn Lyons were the co-chairs. The generosity and talents of those ladies showed through with the decorative favors, wrapped door prize and the details of the arrangements for us all. Tragically JoAnn's husband lost his life just that morning due to a heart attack. Our Queen Mom considered canceling our event but thought it was better to honor these gals by all of us getting together to share their sorrow as Red Hat sister and to celebrate life as well.

Following our lunch we opened our goody bags to find either Red Hat earrings or a bracelet for each of us. The crystal cracker tray, our door prize was won by Donna Callahan. The 50/50 was won by Lynn Hice. After a few brief announcenents we were all treated to yet another gift of a Red Hat pin attached to the Red Hat Commandments brought to us by Marian Bivens.

Most of the ladies enjoyed shopping at the facility after that. The Barn had antiques & a very nice gift and garden shop.

May all of you ladies enjoy MOSN if you are staying here or your time away if you are traveling. There will be a wine & cheese in October & maybe a luncheon but for sure we will be in full swing in November.
